Dating tips

I met a man from an on-line popular dating website.   Initially, he was not my type.  However, he had a nice face, he was charming, and seemed to be financially and emotionally stable. He told me that I was to be his wife because God told him.  Never be gullible to listen to a prophecy like this. It has become rather common, especially in the black community.  Men and women who say those sorts of things are ca-millions, they will do or say anything to win you over. Test their motives, tell them you are not ready for that type of commitment and watch what they say.  If they become anxious or angry, better you find out now than later. I dated this person briefly and I felt pressure to marry. We married in less than 2 months.  NEVER DO THIS!!!!! I would later discover that he was a manipulative,  a liar and dishonest social path.   He had bad credit, money woes, unstable employment and  he had lived with several family members.  He was looking for a free ride and would frequently ask to borrow money  and even wanted me to pay off all his credit card debt.

Please understand that it is okay if someone has gone through a divorce or two, that is the norm nowadays.  But, if you meet someone who has made a career out of it with a history of divorces, RUN!!!  Obviously, that person has some relationship issues that is keeping them from having a healthy long-lasting relationship.

Please see below important principals that I believe every single person to follow:

#1 Find out what your values are and make sure that you have similar ones with your potential mate

#2 Feel good about yourself and know how valuable you are. Is he or she mainly just attracted to your looks?  Does he or she constantly talk about money woes/ or problems? If a man or woman lead with their money, then they are not really secure in who they are. Money does not add value to a person. Choose to be with someone who possesses good character. If they have good character, the money will come.

#3 Command respect at all times.  Do respect yourself and not allow any one to disrespect you in any way, shape or form. How you treat yourself will set the precedent of how others treat you.
Respect reaps adoration, adoration reaps love. If there is a mutual respect for each other in the relationship it helps the love grow fonder. Disrespect destroys relationships.

#4 How does your date treat or respect others.  Do they love themselves? If he or she is rude, guetto, or inconsiderate......cut that sucker loose!

#5 How does your family and friends like him or her? Love is blind.......so its important to allow the people you care about to observe your new date because they may be able to discern things about them that you did not see.

#6 Go slow.  The world is not ending tomorrow or the next day, so even though you biological clock may be ticking.....it still makes sense to not rush into a relationship. It takes time to get to know someone, sometimes years.  (Alert: Consequences could be devastating).

#7 Is he or she secure and love themselves? Please date emotionally secure/stable and sound minded people...( You do not want a person who is clingy with characteristics of a stalker, or a jealous individual.
, you want to be with someone who is mature and responsible)

#8  Does he or she have a dominating strong personality who commands to know your every move and your whereabouts at all times? Beware.

#8 Are they secretive about their past? You want to be with a person who is not afraid of disclosure and who is comfortable in their own skin who does not mind being open and honest.

#9  Has he or she ever been incarcerated?  DO A BACKGROUND CHECK. What crime did they commit, were they wrongfully accused? Get the truth, so that you can make an informed decision about getting involved in a relationship with them or not.

#10  Stay clear of married predators.

#11 Never allow your emotions to over rule your principles.

I hope these dating tips help you single ladies and gentlemen out there.
